Eligibility Criteria
National
- All the candidates must be Indian citizens.
- It’s eligible for applying to the Nepal and Bhutan candidates.
Age limit
- If you apply for this job, the age must be between 20 and 25 years old.
- Age relaxation is also there in some castes.
- SC/ST—5 years
- OBC—3 years
- Ex-Servicemen & Government Employees—5 years
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have completed the bachelor’s degree.
- Final-year students can also apply but must submit proof of qualification before the final selection.
Physical Standards
- Male Candidates:
- Height: 165 cm,
- Chest—81 cm,
- Weight: 50 kg.
- Female candidates:
- Height: 157 cm,
- Weight: -46 kg.
Selection Process
- Written Examination (450 Marks)
- Paper 1: General Questions and Intelligence (250 Marks).
- Paper 2: General knowledge, some essay writing, and comprehension
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- 100-meter race finishing 16 sec for men and women 18 sec.
- 800 meter race finishing 3 min 45 sec for men and women finishing 4 minutes 45 sec (women).
- Long Jump: 3.5 m (men), 3 m (women) – 3 chances
- Shot Put only participates. Men throw around 4.5m to give the three chances
- Medical Examination
- Some medical testing is there in CAPF’s medical standards.
- Personality Test / Interview (150 Marks)
- Only after all the processes are completed will the shortlisted candidate be interviewed by the UPSC.
- Final Merit List
- Final selection is only based on the written exam, physical test, and how you will perform in the interview.
